On-site massage, also known as seated acupressure massage, is a 20-30 minute massage that is given through the clothes to a person who is seated in a specially designed ergonomic chair. It can be used when a conventional, full body massage may appear too time consuming or impractical as a regular stress-busting therapy, and can be carried out in the workplace.
A typical session takes up to 30 minutes - so it can easily be fitted into a lunch hour or break. We come to your offices on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, as required. Individual treatments are also available at Tickled Pink Holistics. On Site massage uses a combination of Japanese acupressure techniques that focus on the upper part of the body - neck, head, shoulders, back and arms - where most of us carry our stress. Its aim is to boost energy levels and revitalize, to improve concentration and alleviate mental fatigue. Instead of the slow, smooth pressure of a traditional couch massage, it is energetic and fast. Techniques used can include the use of hands, thumbs, forearms and even elbows to knead, prod, pull and stretch the muscles.
Chair massage is simultaneously comforting and invigorating. While it soothes away aches and pains, it also calms breathing, slows heartbeat and allows stresses and strains to drift away. It should leave you feeling completely refreshed and relaxed.
Stress is increasingly being recognised as one of the major causes of work-related illness. An estimated 29.2 million working days are lost annually from people taking time off as a result of stress-related ill health alone. Why not take a proactive approach and introduce on-site massage at your workplace?.
